When I first started watching TNG as a teenager I didn't know that it was going to become one of the most formative pieces of media in my life.

I love TNG to bits and I love the way Patrick Stewart portrayed Picard's character. In Picard I saw a man model what true leadership looked like. An imperfect man who made mistakes but learned from them and who stood up for the people in his care.

This fediverse instance wouldn't exist if not TNG and Picard. I don't think it is a stretch that I might not be on the fediverse if not for TNG. It's impact on me and I'm sure to other Trekkies like me cannot be overstated.

I would have liked to have seen Patrick Stewart do live performance of one of Shakespeare's plays someday but alas Lady Death's plans wait for no man.

So I'll close this out with a quote from the Shakespeare play Julius Caesar:

"Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once."

May he rest in peace whereever he is and I hope the Earl Grey is both hot and plentiful.

For me, he'll always be Jean-Luc Picard, who in my adolescence was this towering figure of what it meant to be a good person and a good man on my TV screen every day. Nobody else has been able to do what TNG did, and I'm not sure anyone else could do what Stewart did.

Well, this one fucking hurts.

Favorite memory was seeing him do a one man show of Dicken's Christmas Carol by UCLA.  It was the first season of TNG, and all the rest of the cast showed up to watch it.  He was just amazing.

Yes being on set with him for Picard was wonderful; he was nice and such a hard worker even at his age. But that show. Just incredible.

In the Forsaken update for No Man's Sky, a bunch of new corvette parts were introduced, including a new hab style and an extra-large cockpit that made me want to do a refit on my main explorer, the NMS Hypatia, which I modeled after Starfleet's Miranda class.

The entry hab had completely changed to account for the removal of the previous hidden cockpit, and the entire central section of the ship was replaced with the new habs, connecting to the new cockpit/bridge.

Really enjoying #StarTrekTOS "Spectre of the Gun" on #StarTrek night. I can understand why it was Walter Koenig's favourite. :-)

The three ways to defeat a rogue AI in #StarTrek:

- Kirk: Baffle it with impossible logic problems.

My mum passed away exactly four months before Walter Koenig. She always loved "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home", it's the #StarTrek film we watched most often together. So, I guess that sums up what I'm doing here. I love watching #StarTrek with my friends, for the optimistic stories, for the friendship s+ respect between the characters. But I also love researching the episodes for the production stories and the craftmanship of the people working on the show. 10/10

I love watching and analyzing #StarTrek and sharing my findings. I do not waste any time writing about things I don't like in an episode, I'm not a reviewer or critic. I focus on the production-related details I like. I do care! And I happily block people who reply to my posts with "Who cares". 6/10

Now, when I'm pointing out these differences, changes or bloopers, I'm not criticizing the people working on the shows. I'm just fascinated by all the details that go into the production of a #StarTrek episodes. I applaud their work and their humanity, including our small mistakes. 5/10
