I'm about 7-8 episodes into Star Trek Academy and I don't dislike it... It's an ok show, but it doesn't feel like I'm watching Star Trek. For some reason they are *really* against releasing a more traditional show that I'm used to and grew up with. I'm sure that's why a lot of them have failed. There's still a big market for people like me. Keep the others if you must, but just one more like Voyager/TNG for me would be appreciated 👍.

Last night, I had my most often recurring dream again. I dreamt I walked into a newsagent and found new editions of the Star Trek Fact Files, featuring orthos of alien starships that had not been covered in the magazine before. It is utterly silly, more than 20 years after the magazine ceased publication, but that tells you a lot about how I approach #StarTrek. I want to learn learn learn. And I love alien starships-of-the-week! :-)

I'm an idiot, I just realized that the USS Athena looks like it has feathers, like an owl, the symbol of the goddess Athena. Neat.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine scene. Brunt, a Ferengi, is pictured in what kind of looks like a hobbit house. Smaller than normal houses, the kind you have to duck low to get through a doorway, less straight lines, more curves and rounded. He's in front of one of these hobbit hole doors and outside you see a patio and some greenery. Back to Brunt, he's a Ferengi so we know he has a big exaggerated bald head and giant earlobes, but in this scene he's also wearing a 1980's era Michael Jackson style red leather jacket with a bunch of ornate leather markings and fanciness.
