Yesterday they've released SOLO Leveling: Arise Overdrive.
I kinda liked anime and game looked good, so I've tried it.

I was surprised, when in the middle of the fight everything stoped and I couldn't move / use any skills / attacks.
My surprise was even bigger when outisde of the battle I stopped moving for about 10(maybe 20) seconds.
Fights are perfect🤌, if it wasn't "always online" "feature" it would be really good game with great combat. (similar to Devil May Cry)

So I've asked for refund (wanted to play on the go on my Steam Deck).
Why you have to be always online when playing in single player?
Diablo 3 started that stupid idea and now other follows.🤦

So, in the process of leaving #Windows everywhere, the #gaming part was most challenging.

I’m currently running #WoW, #EldenRing, #Starfield and #MechWarrior5.

I managed to brick one Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, and had to give up on the sweet PS5 DualSense Edge, but finally got all my favorite games running under #Steam on #Debian 12. My current controller is a tethered PS3, since my BT is jammed to crap by neighbours IoT mesh.

#Modding, as opposed to running the vanilla Steam installs, evokes the Ford Fairlane quote: ”Like masturbating with a cheese grate - somewhat amusing, but mostly painful.”

It’s been a ride, with plenty of CLI stuff and NVIDIA kernel module shenanigans.

#Linuxgaming is nice, but it’s still not easy.

50 hours in to Kingdom Come Deliverance II, and, well, the hours should say enough. Definitely worth a play, and it really hits that narrative near-RPG spot.

It truly is a beautiful game, too. I don't think I've come across a part that isn't buzzing with life, or a picturesque scene, or both.

The swordplay is, as always, the best part. Masterstrikes feel good, and really push beyond the block-whack-block-whack that so many end up at.

I do like the addition of "pistoles", and how they're totally ineffective at actually killing anyone from range, but at close range, you'll probably kill someone and scare everyone else (especially with the right perks).

The history stuff is well researched, and it truly does feel like you sit on the edge of that Sigismund-Wenceslaus conflict, with references to key events, and far off places bringing your little corner of Bohemia into the broader world

I haven't bought a videogame in three months. One easy way to achieve this is to just go through your physical collection each time you get the urge.

I'm not kidding when I say that the letter "A" is enough to kill all urge to buy a new game. Under that letter I have almost all the Atelier games that were released on the Switch. Unplayed. If I were to start right now I wouldn't be done with them before 2028.

I can see that #Cyberpunk2077 is on sale on XBox store and it's within my price range. Only Q is: should I buy it?

I generally love open world RPGs. Red Dead Redemption 2, Witcher 3 and Skyrim are among my favourite games ever.

As much as I have no desire to play Elden Ring/Dark Souls/etc, one thing I truly respect about Hidetaka Miyazaki is that he didn't lean on tired racist Lovecraftian tropes to create a terrifying world.

@binarydiv I have about 15y worth of files mostly arranged into a folder hierarchy but recently I'm trying to name files and folders with tags because over time theres been more and more exceptions where things fit into more than one box I often find myself looking in 2 or 3 locations to find a file.

Some tags I find useful:

The ideology philosophy or system involved

What animal species is involved

The area of study involved

The name and time of the event involved

The Company/country(s)/organisation/people involved

The sector of the economy involved

The movie/tv/game/media involved

So for instance a screenshotted hot take or meme about ADHD might go under #Humans;#Psychology;#Ableism;#ADHD

and a report on the impact of boycotts for hogwarts legacy might be named #Gaming;#HarryPotter;#Boycott;#Trans;#JKRowling;#HogwartsLegacy

I suppose I should get back in the saddle, and play some more #KingdomComeDeliverance2. The sword fighting is just unsurpassed, it's beautiful, and the story is well written.

I'd rather play it than watch a movie, especially with the 30+ minute interactive cutscenes that rely on your talents.

It's like they took KCD and just went "well, everyone loves 15th century Bohemia, lets give them oh so much more"
