Faraday Protocol (Multi, XPd on PC) Awoken on an abandoned alien space station, you must solve puzzles to work your way to the core and figure out what happened here.

Another Portal inspired thinky pain game, this one give you a "gun" to manipulate energy types (red/blue) that power the various devices making up the puzzles.

I quite dig the Egyptian motif (always been a fave era of mine). Interesting choice for a space station. Decent music. The voice acting is also good. Story is aight, tho I spotted the "twist" pretty early on. Didn't ruin anything for me tho.

This is a fairly short experience, took me 7.7 hours to roll credits, earning all but one of the achieves (a hidden collectibles one, ehh). So the puzzles aren't all THAT painful TBH, at least for someone well versed in these kinds of games.

All and all a good little game. I'd say it's likely worth the $20 regular price, but absolutely worth the $2 sale price I got it for. 👍

I said goodbye to Arthur Morgan last night, officially closing my first playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2.

What an amazing odyssey through the American history. It's undoubtably a great game, able to reach your feelings and making you completely involved in the story. In fact, after the 4th chapter I completely lost track of all the side quests and focused on the main story, because I wanted more of it every time!

I think I got the "good" ending, because I played my Arhur Morgan on his way to redemption.

I'll never forgive Ashley for shooting Wrex, but it is what it is and my squad has been able to defeat the reapers...for now.

I think I'll catch a break from ME before starting the second episode, playing something something different.

Although remastered, ME didn't age well in my opinion and the animations and the mechanics are...ew. Fortunately, it's one of those games where the story is a masterpiece and the technical part isn't too frustrating, so it can be played (and replayed) well.

Finally rolled the credits on Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition

I'm in a complicated relationship with this game and I was about to drop it again (for the...15th time?) but this time I powered through it and finally closed this chapter.

It was fun and frustrating and if I'd have to pick a top 50 of the games I'd want to play again, this definitely won't be in the chart.

But hey, it is done and I don't see myself playing the second chapter any time soon, so I guess I'll be moving to complete FF VII Remake Intergrade (the DLC) and then off to Mass Effect 2 :)

The collectors threat has been defused and now the whole universe can sleep peacefully, but at what cost? Commander Shephard is left sitting on the bed in his own quarters remembering the last sweet hours with his beloved Tali'Zorah. But he has no time to mourn, no time to cry, he has to be the defender of the universe, the reapers menace is still dangling upon everybody's head.

I completed the main story from Mass Effect 2 (Legendary) with a full paragon playthrough, but seems like the story evolved in a way that likely will see a different Shephard in the next chapter: alone, seeking revenge for Tali, bitter and angry.

I didn't expect ME2 to hit so hard on the feelings, definitely one of those good games that like a good book, makes you connect deeply with the characters. Bravo.

Hiroki's journey to Yomi and back has finally ended. He struggled till the end between love and duty, but to regain his balance he had finally to say goodbye to his lost love, Aiko, and step back into his vow to protect the people, honoring Sanjuro's memory.

Today marks 25 years since the original release of Final Fantasy X in Japan back in 2001. An entry that marked several firsts for the series: it was the first Final Fantasy game for the PlayStation 2, the first with full voice acting and fully animated facial expressions, and the first to get a direct storyline sequel in Final Fantasy X-2. Also a game I should probably stop considering one of the "newer" FF titles, at this point.

Much like Final Fantasy VIII, a heavy focus was placed on the romance between the two main leads, Tidus and Yuna. However, the broader story can justifiably be called a critique of religious institutions, tackling the correlation between uncritical religious dogma and systemic prejudice.

Through the 'found family' dynamic between its characters, FFX explored themes of death, grief, purpose, and what it takes to challenge dated societal norms, and ultimately showed the beauty of finding yourself, being accepted, breaking cycles and carving out your own path in life, beyond the path you were told you should follow.
