                              Hey. Other day we had an incident that led to flooding in our basement. During the subsequent cleanup we moved my CRT and it had a fall. It was on a plastic container that tipped over. It fell about a foot and a half onto the concrete and cracked the case. Still turns on. Still has a clear picture. Wife has been convinced by an AI summary that it's now a death trap and needs to be thrown out. Looking for guidance from people with experience. I'm not planning on opening it. I understand the dangers of the inside of these.

They invented one, but needed it to look cool too. So, they reached out to a Japanese toy company that was little known in the West.                                                                                                                                                                                                       I ask this because I have been consuming a lot of Star Fox related content recently, mostly because nostalgia and it got me thinking...
                                                                                                                                                                                                      Getting Star Fox 64 was a no-brainer for me, as a kid I loved the SNES Star Fox, and it being a Nintendo first party made it a safe bet as a good game.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      And sure, that first time playing it was just amazing. It was a beautiful upgrade from the original SNES game, complete with voice acting that was clean, crisp, full of character.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      So much going on, and that still isn't the thing that really blew my mind.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      You get to the end of Corneria, failing to save Falco, because first time playing. And just as you reach the boss, Fox activates "All Range Mode". Suddenly that beloved rail shooter turns into a full 3D arena shooter.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Not only is the transition pure cinema, but this whole new way I was playing Star Fox. It just blew my mind.
