Lots of drama on the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft, 2b2t, these days...

My old group, The Melon Men, has always had an "insider" problem. Since I was with them, there has been someone in the top admins that was leaking info to our rival groups and we couldn't figure out who it was.

Now that I'm not with them anymore, there's 5 people it could be and that includes my 2 co-founders.

I personally still don't know who it is, but even the founder of the group has reasons that he would want the group to be dissolved.😬

This is what makes 2b2t so crazy. People are sociopaths. Almost 5 months of leaking info and not being found out...

I attended the biggest Minecraft event I'd ever attended yesterday on 2b2t! 25 people showed up and it was peaceful the entire time!

Even 2b2t's famous Spawn Masons showed up!😁

A group photo of Minecraft players gathered together in a decorated area, likely in a prominent location or event on a multiplayer server.

Players’ names appear floating above their heads in green, white, and red text, indicating their in-game usernames. Some of the visible names include:
-SenatorBeAware
-Whatsthefish
-Insetberry
-Joey_Coconut
-pah_
-Scraper
-ManicRoad

The players appear to be wearing full diamond or netherite armor, suggesting the importance or preparation for this gathering. They are posed neatly on blocks, possibly for a group photo, while others stand nearby. The surroundings are decorated with colorful pink-themed blocks, torches, and a large cherry blossom-like tree overhead, enhancing the festive or organized appearance of the area.

This scene looks like a player-organized meetup or celebration, with clear attention to detail for creating a visually appealing backdrop.

For those German speaking Minecraft players out there, if you'd like to see a base that I was a part of on 2b2t recently before it was griefed. Check out this video.

I make a small cameo later on in the video.

Well I just basically lost my recent hobby for the holidays.😔

2b2t has patched most travel exploits. It now takes 9 hours to get to my stash from spawn when yesterday, it took less than 2 hours.😒

I see no reason to play on the server till a new travel hack is released.

They gotta ruin everything fun.🤬

So....I have this friend on 2b2t who is a "base hunter". He uses tools to find trails that people traveled to find bases and their loot.

He's also a part of a group of base hunters known as the Journeymen.

Therefore, I used my love for AI to make a song about PaulSteve and the Journeymen.

Enjoy!

A few screenshots of Melongrad, the Melon Men admin base on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server.

I didn't plan on posting these for a long time but a griefing group paid real money for our coords so we moved everything out just before they came in to blow it up. It's gone now.

More to come soon enough.

A signboard at Melongrad, the Melon Men admin base on the 2b2t Minecraft server. This board features a series of colorful signs left by different players, marking their visits to the base. Here are the individual signs:

"Mango was freaking here - Oct 1st, 2024" in red text

"BeAware was here, Melon Men - 10-28-2024" in red text

"SkyTunees arrived here - 20/10/24" in light blue text

"Manarina Has Arrived! - 22/10/2024" in pink text

"FlowJoeJoe" in yellow text

"galicaea is here! - 10/27/2024" in purple text

"Synful Made the trip - 10/27/24" in red text

"pavel_edits finally arrived too - 27.10.2024" in white text

"Nuked ruined this place with his presence - 2024-10-29" in red text, seemingly a playful joke rather than a reference to any griefing.

    "no_yes_ahhhh - 30/Oct/24" in yellow text

Above the signs, there are two pieces of map art with messages such as "Join the Melon Men Today" and "Spread melons, not hate." This board serves as a log of player visits to the base, showing the names and dates of visitors in different colors, and adding a bit of humor with some playful messages.

An overhead view of Melongrad, the admin base for the Melon Men group on the 2b2t Minecraft server. The screenshot captures the distinct layout of the base, featuring a network of roads marked with yellow and black lines, reminiscent of a city grid. At the center of the image, there is a towering beam of green and red light, created by beacons, illuminating a garden-like area filled with trees and bamboo.

Surrounding the central beacon area, various structures are visible, including a large red building that resembles a traditional-style structure with decorative elements. The landscape is dotted with giant mushroom blocks, typical of a mushroom biome, adding a surreal ambiance to the scene. In the bottom part of the image, smaller lit areas and pathways suggest additional structures and details, all contributing to the well-planned, urban-like layout of Melongrad.

This week on 2b2t:

Melon Men had an admin base for awhile that we've been keeping secret and yesterday, someone "randomly" stumbled upon it. We asked them how they found it and they seemed genuine and peaceful so we let them look around while we moved our stashes out.

About 6 hours later, after everything was millions of blocks away, the Enclave hate speech griefing group swooped in just in time to blow up our 1 shulker of cobblestone that we left behind!😂

Close one, but they actually think they got us, so we'll just let them "win" this time.

I'll post pics of the builds at Melongrad that my admin team made later today. They are rubble now.

Oh boy. Things have been quite interesting on 2b2t lately.

The Melon Men are now the fastest growing group on the server, which is quite impressive in my opinion, given the server's history of toxicity and Melon Men being a peaceful group.

However, we also have opps. A group known as Enclave have infiltrated our discord a couple of times trying to change all of our stuff to hate speech but failed because our bot doesn't allow that shit.

Then, we just casually had 5th column members join our discord and try to be sneaky by being non-toxic. They're the most notorious and most toxic griefing group on the server.😬

I also feel that something out of the ordinary is going down or will be going down really soon. Lots of old players popping up again recently including some old "Nerds Inc" players which is the group in which the infamous Popbob was a part of.

We can only wait and see if the plot thickens.😅

Stay tuned for more 2b lore.

This week on 2b2t, the OLDEST anarchy server in Minecraft:

I was finally able to make a "Melon Men" sign outside of the world border written in obsidian, giving us a permanent place on the server!

Also, with the insane growth of the group, we have almost 300 people in our discord which gets a bit crazy sometimes. With that amount of fast growth, we're also getting those type of people who don't like us. One of those groups is called Enclave, a very toxic griefing group. The other day, an Enclave member infiltrated our discord for about 12 hours and we didn't know until they started being toxic out of nowhere.😅

It's so wholesome to see that even in an anarchist environment, there's still a sizable group of people wanting to do good instead of doing bad.😁

A screenshot of the X axis world border on the 2b2t anarchy server. On the outside of the border there are many names and logos written in obsidian so they cannot be destroyed with TNT. Among the names, directly in the center, is the Melon Men name, a non-toxic group with the goal of spreading kindness in the chaotic anarchy lands of 2b2t.

Today on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server:

The Melon Men discord group now has over 150 members and we have our own custom invite link!

That's pretty neat, never been a part of a discord like that, much less been in the leadership.

There's a Halloween event near spawn tomorrow, but to be honest I feel that's a massacre waiting to happen.😂

Assholes will just fly in and start killing people. I hope not, but I might avoid it just in case. I'm not scared of dying, I just don't want an asshole to get the satisfaction of killing me.🤷‍♂️

After 9 hours of travel, I have finally made it to the overworld world border on 2b2t!

Here's a couple of screenshots.

The first 2 are inside of the nether portal room and the last 2 are in the overworld of all the obsidian names and destruction around.

I will post a few more pictures in this thread.

A screenshot from the 2b2t Minecraft server, specifically depicting the Nether Portal Room located at the Overworld World Border. The room features a massive central purple Nether portal structure, surrounded by obsidian flooring and purple-patterned walls. There are decorative elements, including cherry blossom trees crafted from pink blocks on the right side, adding a surreal aesthetic to the otherwise dark environment. Several highlighted entities, likely Zombie Piglins, can be seen wandering near the portal, marked by colorful outlines.

I just realized something awesome has been happening for the past few years on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server.

The LGBTQ+ community and allies have seemingly taken over the server and pretty much shut down any kind of transphobia by just ignoring them or griefing their bases. I love it. Toxicity always gets shut down by positivity and The Melon Men are helping to prove that!

Even 2b2t's most famous griefer, Popbob is now trans and left the server in 2020 seemingly because of the trans hate...maybe she'll be back at some point.🤔

I just traded some end crystals for a whole bunch of map arts on 2b2t!

These are all pretty neat!

A collection of map arts displayed on the 2b2t Minecraft server, arranged on a red mushroom block wall. Here’s a description of each map art:

Top Left - The "Runescape" logo with a dark cave entrance underneath, a reference to the popular MMORPG.

Top Middle - A screenshot of a retro Pac-Man game map.

Top Right - An illustration of a Monopoly-style character with a monocle and top hat, except it's a pug.

Second Row Left - A pixelated image of a cave or dungeon, possibly representing a game or ominous location.

Second Row Middle - An image of Mario sitting against a pipe and smoking a joint.

Second Row Right - A black and white pixelated figure resembling a Minecraft cow.

Third Row Left - A stylized illustration of a man's face in blue, red, and white, with the text "Dope" below.

Third Row Middle - A yellow question mark box, similar to the ones found in Mario games.

Third Row Right - A drawing of yellow chicks standing together with the caption "Take us to your beer."

Fourth Row Left - A pixelated white face with a faint smile and purple headphone-like objects, possibly a meme or custom avatar.

Fourth Row Middle - A grayscale pixelated Minecraft block, resembling bedrock.

Fourth Row Right - A still of a man seated, seemingly from a meme or video, with a pixelated effect.

Off to the side is another map art "flyer" with popular 2b2t player characters with the text "2b2t.org Hookups! Hot singles in your area!"

Minecraft's oldest anarchy server, 2b2t is pretty dang popular these days.

Most days, especially weekends, the server is siting at 400+ players online with 300+ in the queue. It's at 420 right now.😏

If any of you decide to join and promise to be non-toxic and promote kindness, let me know and I'll drop in and give you a kit to help escape spawn.

Just a warning, without paying for priority queue, it normally takes 6-8 hours to get in.

Sooo....holy shit.

When you're playing games with your friends and having fun, it takes you out of reality for a bit and lets you forget about real life for awhile.

However, sometimes things happen that take you back to reality and show you that life is still very real.

Last week, my 2b2t group co-leader went AWOL and we had no idea what happened.

It turns out he was in the hospital and then we didn't know why until yesterday. He showed back up and revealed he had been in a horrific car accident which threw him and a friend from the vehicle, suffering multiple injuries. Unfortunately another friend of his that was also in the car didn't make it.😔

We're so thankful he pulled through and was able to talk to us yesterday. I feel so horrible for his friend though.😭

I just don't "get" Minetest devs decisions to change the name and make themselves more distinct from Minecraft.

That was the appeal in the first place. If you're not trying to be a Minecraft clone, you're just another ripoff that doesn't come close.

MineTest came close, but now they're going in a different direction? Sounds like a self inflicted death spiral for the project...😳🤦‍♂️

Random 2b2t lore of the day:

When the server updated to 1.19 from 1.12, it was the first time that Wardens arrived on the server.

With the amount of toxicity on the server against new players, people decided to do something extra toxic.

They went to an ancient city and made a warden spawner by just using blocks that make constant noise.

Then, they used lava rivers to pipe them into a nether portal and through the nether, all the way back to 0,0.

At one point there were over 500 wardens at spawn. Lol.

It's toxic as hell, but you gotta admit, the dedication is admirable.

However, with the amount of racism/homophobic speech on that server for the sake of being "edgy", I feel I'd just get banned from the major platforms even though I don't engage with that bullshit myself.

Also, with the amount of sweaty "base hunters", I worry my base would be compromised and get griefed.😩

This weekend on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server, my group collectively gave out 15 full kits to new players to help them escape spawn.

Also, our Co-leader has unfortunately gone MIA for the past 6 days and due to how much momentum The Melon Men are gaining, we had to make a new discord so we can control who joins.

We've had a couple toxic people join in that time and we're totally against toxicity.

We want to "M2bNFO" or Make 2b Nice For Once!😂

I wish certain mods of specific games would just *not* get left behind when their authors give up.

I feel like a lot of mods are significant to their games history and playability in those versions and when the author's don't update past a certain point, those mods are lost to time.

I've been really missing Industrial craft and BuildCraft in Minecraft in the past few years and they were SO vital to my enjoyment of those earlier Minecraft versions.😔

Soo...tonight on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server, my group and I received coordinates to a dupe stash.

For those unaware, a dupe stash is a huge stash of items made from duplication exploits.

Tonight we secured over 300 shulkers worth of different items!!!

Like holy shit. I feel like I just hit the jackpot! We're gonna be helping noobs for years!

@BeAware@social.beaware.live

Wow. I just found a shulker full of enchanted diamond armor and a shulker full of fortune 3 diamond picks AT spawn on 2b2t.

What luck! There were 12 or so chests in one area and I decided to search them all. The third had the loot.

Tip: if you ever decide to play on 2b2t, don't leave your backup stash in a chest at spawn. lmao.

Tonight on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server:

Massive drama ensues as one of the biggest groups, Donfuer, disbanded after a member gave all of their base coordinates to an opposing group.

The betrayal happened after months of the member being in their discord and even meeting IRL.

This will probably be a YouTube video at some point.😳

There's some sociopaths on the internet. Be careful who you befriend.

Today on 2b2t, the server was completely full for most of the day.

Unfortunately, I mistimed my trip back to spawn and by the time I got there, most new players had already gotten off or got away from spawn.🤷‍♂️

I ended up delivering 1 kit to a player, who I don't think made it out with their kit...😬I can give supplies but I can't make sure they can kill zombies. Lmao.

Then, my group leader and I flew to a new player and melonized him! We have him like 5 6 stacks of melons and also decorated his small spawn base with over a stack! Lol.

All in all, good times.

The last couple days on 2b2t have been interesting and a bit hectic tbh.

After I made it out to Kali's Gape, I decided that it would be a really good idea to build a base out there because it's pretty barren. Nobody really goes out that far because it takes time. Around 2-3 hours at the fastest from what I can tell.

That being said, I found a HUGE Mushroom island biome where I've decided to settle down and will finish moving my stuff today.

I really wish I could build. I just have no creativity in that area and it always comes out looking like shit. Therefore I think I will just try to use Litematica to put an overlay of a cool build so I can do it that way.

Also, there's a lot of players on 2b that are toxic and want the server to be as difficult as possible, so they grief spawn and roads leading out of spawn to make it harder for new players.

When it becomes a coordinated effort, it's called an "incursion".

There's been 5 or 6 incursions so far over 2b's lifetime and we're about to go into another.

I will be part of the resistance. If 2b doesn't get new players that want to stick around, the server dies.

Holy shit....

After LITERAL days of travel on 2b2t (Minecraft's OLDEST Anarchy server), I have arrived at "Kali's Gape", a 1k x 1k hole made with World Edit back in 2015 when a player got backdoor access to the server.

The purpose was to copy their clan's base from far away so that it'd be harder to find them.

It is simply incredible. Pure chaos. Pure anarchy.

The remnants of the griefed Imperator 2 base, located inside the notorious "Kali's Gape" on the 2b2t Minecraft server. Kali's Gape is a massive 1,000 x 1,000 block hole dug all the way down to bedrock, representing one of the largest destructive projects on the server.

The shattered remains of the Imperator 2 base still float in the sky, with portions of elaborate builds—like towers, floating structures, and pieces of bridges—dangling in midair. The floating debris includes intricate designs, vines, and remnants of once-majestic architectural details. The destruction caused by the griefing has left only fragments of the base standing, with some areas still connected by a thin nether brick bridge.

The sheer scale of Kali's Gape, combined with the remnants of Imperator 2, offers a striking contrast between destruction and the beauty of what was once a grand Minecraft base. This image captures the chaotic and lawless nature of 2b2t, where even the largest and most impressive builds are not safe from devastation.

Another perspective of the griefed Imperator 2 base inside of "Kali's Gape" on the 2b2t Minecraft server. The floating remnants of the once-grand base are more visible, with large spherical and architectural structures hanging in the air, now fragmented and partially destroyed. The intricate builds, which once stood as a testament to players' creativity, have been reduced to floating debris due to griefing.

Below the remnants, you can see the vast, empty area where the bedrock is exposed, revealing the true scale of Kali's Gape—a 1,000 x 1,000 hole that extends all the way to bedrock. The water-covered bedrock floor adds to the desolate feeling, contrasting with the ruined pieces of the base above.

This image shows the aftermath of destruction and the relentless nature of 2b2t, where even the most beautiful and carefully constructed player creations are often reduced to ruins. The combination of floating, shattered structures and the void-like expanse of Kali's Gape highlights the chaotic environment on the world's oldest anarchy server.

In the distance, you can see the intricate, spherical remnants of what were once highly detailed builds, now partially destroyed and left floating in the sky, surrounded by scattered clouds. The once-grand floating structures now appear hollow and shattered due to the extensive griefing. The grid lines visible on the bedrock floor emphasize the sheer scale of the hole, further underscoring the magnitude of Kali's Gape.

This image captures the haunting beauty of the destroyed base and the contrast between the vast emptiness of the exposed bedrock and the still-remaining skyborne architecture. It represents the remnants of a once-proud player creation in the chaotic and destructive world of 2b2t.

The blue water cascading down the walls adds a stark contrast to the barren bedrock floor, and in the distance, you can spot remnants of terrain and structures just barely clinging to the edges of the walls. A lone player, visible in the distance, adds a sense of scale to the vast emptiness of the hole.

This view highlights the immense effort and scale behind this project, which is a testament to the long-standing chaotic and destructive nature of the 2b2t server. The border walls stand as a defining feature of Kali's Gape, marking the edge of one of the largest man-made holes in Minecraft.

Last night on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server, a fellow group member and I found out about a 1k x 1k hole made millions of blocks out with world edit when someone backdoored the server.

It's a very interesting story and I want to go out there anyway to build a base, so we took off in the nether!

We made it about 3 million blocks out so far but still have a bit further to go.

I really hope there's a base or something interesting there now.

Well...my antisocial ass has somehow made friends on 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server.

I am a part of "The Melon Men". They are a group that's attempting to take some of the toxicity and hostility out of escaping spawn.

People like to kill new players to make it harder for them to escape, but if everyone keeps dying and can never escape, people will leave and the server will die.

Seems like a noble cause, I think.

Either way, glad to finally make some new friends in a game.

More beautiful chaos on Minecraft's Oldest Anarchy server, 2b2t. Sorry for the distortion, I was flying out of spawn. Don't wanna stay still too long on this server.

A massive, towering structure on the 2b2t Minecraft server, known for its large-scale builds and chaotic nature. The structure appears to be a colossal artificial mountain made entirely out of stone blocks, extending high into the night sky, reaching far beyond the typical height of natural Minecraft terrain.

The steep and smooth appearance of the mountain suggests it was constructed with precision, and its towering height makes it a standout landmark. In the surrounding area, there are patches of grass, trees, and flowing water, indicating that the build stands in a relatively natural Minecraft landscape. A few item name tags can be seen near the base of the structure, possibly showing players deaths or signs of life around the massive build.

This kind of monumental construction is typical of the 2b2t server, where players push the limits of Minecraft's building capabilities, often creating imposing and impressive landmarks in an otherwise lawless environment.

😳 So THIS is why 2b2t lags so much sometimes...🤦‍♂️

For those not in the know, this is a quarry.

It's not a mechanic that Minecraft has naturally.

However, with some clever block placement mixed with a bit of redstone, you get a flying machine that drops TNT infinitely, breaking blocks underneath its path.

Having this active could definitely cause some lag. Especially on a server as popular as 2b2t, Minecraft's oldest anarchy server.

A massive quarry on the 2b2t Minecraft server. The area is heavily mined and excavated, with sheer walls lined with flowing water, likely placed to prevent mob spawns or reduce damage from explosions. The large pit at the bottom of the quarry reveals various exposed layers of stone, lava pools, and some remnants of ores.

A few structures are visible within the quarry. There’s a raised platform on a tall pillar, possibly a working area or a point of access to the bottom of the quarry. The red lines running along the edge might serve as markers or boundaries for the quarry's perimeter.

The scale and depth of the excavation are impressive, typical of large-scale projects seen on the 2b2t server, where players often undertake monumental builds or resource gathering operations. The server's chaotic and lawless nature means that such massive quarries can remain functional for long periods or be left abandoned after extensive use.

Now this is pretty neat and interesting!

Portal structure with LOTS of Zombie Piglin hanging about.

Even amongst the chaos that is 2b2t, there's still lots of beautiful and interesting things to find while exploring and that's my favorite part.

A large portal structure on the 2b2t Minecraft server, built entirely from numerous Nether portals arranged in a grid pattern. The structure stands over an ocean, with a long red pathway leading toward it. The portals are outlined in obsidian, forming a massive wall of interconnected purple portals, creating an ominous and dark aesthetic against the night sky.

Inside the portals, Zombie Piglin mobs can be seen hanging around, likely spawning within the portals, which is common in Minecraft mechanics. The build is a striking example of the kinds of large-scale, complex constructions often seen on 2b2t, where players create massive farms, portals, and unique structures in the server's anarchic environment. The sheer size and purpose of this structure suggest it could be used as part of a mob farm or transportation hub involving the Nether.

Wow. I'm back on the 2b2t Minecraft server and I just found this really neat My Little Pony themed base!

A My Little Pony-themed base on the 2b2t Minecraft server, known for its large builds and anarchy environment. The build features a large, detailed pixel art sculpture of a pony, which appears to be inspired by the My Little Pony franchise. The pony is primarily blue with orange and yellow highlights, standing prominently on a forested area next to a river and some hills.

The surrounding landscape includes a mixture of plains, forests, and mountains, with a few small structures at the base of the pony, possibly representing smaller builds or parts of the overall base. The lighting in the scene indicates that it is either sunrise or sunset, casting a soft glow over the area. The moon is visible in the sky, adding to the scenic atmosphere.

This type of thematic build is common on 2b2t, where players often create large-scale, artistic projects amidst the chaos of the server's lawlessness.

Me when I saw the Minecraft Movie teaser.😩

A meme that features a famous scene from The Godfather* where Don Vito Corleone, played by Marlon Brando, sorrowfully says, "Look how they massacred my boy."

In the original context of the film, the line reflects deep grief over the brutal treatment of someone close to him. The image is often used in memes to express disappointment, sadness, or frustration over something that has been ruined or mishandled. It's a way of dramatizing the feeling of watching something beloved being damaged, altered, or changed in a negative way, often for comedic or exaggerated effect. The meme is typically used when reacting to situations where someone feels emotionally attached to something that has been metaphorically "massacred." In this case, the Minecraft Movie.
