And possibly the best mechanic is that battles escalate into tactical and strategic nuclear phases. You can use nuclear bombs varying from 1.5-250kt to wipe out bases and big clumps of enemies — or call in ICBMs or have your ships launch ballistic missiles with much bigger yield.

Game is early access but has been out for two and a half years and feels complete to me.

Weird near-future flight game that's not quite a sim but not quite an arcade-style flier like Ace Combat. Games take place on large multiplayer maps where two teams fight it out to destroy the other teams non-players ground forces.

It's really hard, and *really* fun. No grind like War Thunder, very little automation, weapons are highly powerful and effective — including missile defence, so you need to genuinely work in concert to attack, say, a missile cruiser.
