Free to a good home: An Apple AudioVision 14 Display. It worked fine when I got rid of my 7100 years ago, but now there's a piece cracked off the base and the cable seems to have gotten tugged. 🤦‍♂️ The stress relief grommet isn't seated in the hole in the case, as shown in the last photo. Manufactured in May 1994. :apple_inc:

I have a very odd problem with Apple Music on macOS.

I can't stream from the Apple Music service (which works fine on iOS).

I have tried clearing and deleting cache files, signing in and out, authorising and deauthorising the computer, creating a new library, removing VPNs (don't ask!), deleting preference files, turning off lossless audio, turning off Dolby Atmos, turning off crossfade and the new Auto Mix. Nothing is working.

If I download a song from Apple Music and then play it... it works fine.

The image depicts a historic food storeroom at the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute, which appears to be from around 1920-1950 based on stylistic cues. The black and white photograph shows several individuals engaging in conversation within what looks like a large storage space lined with shelves stocked with various goods.

On the left side of the aisle, there are wooden barrels labeled "PRIME" above rows of crates containing different food products such as applesauce or preserves ("APPLE SAUCE," "JELLO-MAKING INGREDIENTS"), and other indistinct items. On the right side, more shelves hold stacks of boxes with labels like "HOLLY," which might be related to Holly Hill Farms.

Three individuals are visible in the scene: two men standing near a middle shelf wearing casual attire (one in a suit) conversing animatedly while another person stands slightly apart on the far end. The man on the left appears to hold a clipboard, possibly documenting inventory or taking notes during an inspection.

The environment has rustic wood beams overhead and exposed lighting fixtures that suggest this space was part of older industrial infrastructure. This image provides insight into how food storage operations might have been organized in early 20th-century institutions like radio engineering institutes, where maintaining stock levels would be crucial for both teaching demonstrations or a [...]

I'm not sure when this changed, but yelling "whose phone is this" and "I'm being pulled over" at siri no longer disable biometrics on iOS 26.1. This means the only methods of quickly turning off biometrics are to set up SOS and tap the side button 5 times or restart your phone. Restarting is much stronger anyway since it wipes the decryption keys that are loaded after the first unlock. Plan accordingly if you use finger or face unlocks and are wary of law enforcement.

Kirja on kyllä kirjoitettu tosi hyvin! Much faster than an phone streaming the same exact music to the same bluetooth speaker. The iPad's battery percent ticks down like 2 or 3 times as fast as keeping Bluetooth off.

Previously, the entire top case had to be replaced when giving a MacBook Pro a new battery. Apple is changing that – for one model.

Keyboards have barely changed in decades - certainly not enough to make older ones *obsolete*, this one's merely *incompatible* without the right adapter - and unless I was working, or programming, and needed my keyboard to be as finely tuned an instrument as Mitutoyo calipers, it's a completely adequate input device.
