OK, so I’ve been testing this phone link app by Microsoft, I have connected my iPhone to Windows. So now I can see notifications from my phone on my laptop, I can also reply to messages, the functionality is very limited for iPhones, but still, it’s better than nothing, and I guess I can confirm you can reply to iMessage, via this app, Microsoft’s app won’t keep your entire history of your messages, but you can reply if someone texts you, and that’s what I needed, it’s sometimes easier to send a message while working at your computer without turning to your phone. Someone might say but you have WhatsApp and other apps, yes, but I love iMessage. I like being able to have some apps both on my Windows laptop and my iPhone. Typing on the bigger keyboard is simply better in some cases, so like I thought before, Phone Link app is like a bridge between your phone and your computer, it works over Bluetooth. I mean, it says Bluetooth has to be enabled, But I’m glad it works. It’s nothing really big, it’s not maybe perfect, but it’s good to learn something new and that even such small things work properly. That’s what I want to say. #Computers

Security researchers have uncovered six vulnerabilities affecting Apple AirDrop and Google/Samsung Quick Share, potentially impacting more than 5 billion devices across iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows. The flaws could allow nearby attackers to crash sharing services, manipulate protocol states, and in some cases potentially achieve code execution under specific conditions. Vendors have already begun releasing fixes, with additional patches in progress.

The research is a reminder that proximity-based features—while incredibly useful—also expand the attack surface. Organizations should ensure devices are fully patched, limit discoverability to trusted contacts where possible, and regularly review wireless sharing settings.

Security isn’t just about defending internet-facing services anymore—it’s also about protecting the protocols running quietly in the background.
