Sure is a lot of #Apple nerd angst today. I'm 15 months into my move away from Apple and I'm increasingly happy with that choice. From a user perspective, it seems likely that they'll continue scraping for every last cent users will give them via more ads and a continued transition to services as a primary business model. Meanwhile, as far as their various operating systems, AI slop seems to be their new feature. And, bonus (FOR APPLE) it means users gotta cough up for new devices... Fuck the planet, buy new shit.

Meanwhile, I'm happily using two versions of GNU/Linux (Mint and Trisquel) on a 2018 laptop and 2012 Mac Mini. It's been 15 months and I've had no problems. A beautiful, stable OS with no subscription upsells and no fascist bootlicking capitalist trying to push AI slop that'll require new hardware.

2026 is the year of me saying goodbye to #Apple. I got my first iPhone in 2010 and my first book pro in 2011, and every time I tried something different, I went back to iOS and macOS. After #WWDC I am super disappointed by how much AI is taking over something as vital for my life as my phone.
I already disabled Apple Intelligence as the old and dumb Siri is more useful and responsive. Let's see how it goes, so far I will not upgrade to the new #iOS27 or disable every LLM/AI feature. 😢

Just finished listening to the live stream of WWDC, and they got a lot going on for Apple, including Apple Intelligence shit. The Siri voices are a lot more expressive. * The end of the abberation is looking a patchy. It also ends abruptly and creates an angular shape. Let’s extend the abberation a bit so that it tapers off smoothly. Also add a bit more of the edge highlight back. Use the hack as reference.
* Thank you for adjusting the outerglow of the leaf. I think the sweet spot for the glow is between the brigthness of R4 and R3. Created a hack below for the level of glow.

Another day, another annoying #Apple bug. My Apple Watch running 26.5 is unable to clear the notification stack. That's, like, not annoying at all. Not even one bit. I suppose it beats my older Apple Watch with zero apps installed and no media transferred (and a recent complete reset) which keeps saying I need to uninstall applications to install an update. Can I have a nice Linux watch with health features and calendar integration, please?

Dank meinem Mac mit 128GB hab ich dafür die beste Spielwiese. Mit UTM VM erstellt - LM Studio für das LLM.
Pro: Sehr schnell - unkompliziert Installation - Hermes macht guten Eindruck
Probleme: Das LLM hat sich immer wieder in Loops verrannt - an dem Parameter rumspielen hat auch nix geändert - immer wieder wilde Arbeitsweisen - denke das lag aber an dem begrenzt Horizont des LLM
Aber warum ich es beendet habe: In UTM hab ich nur eine VM gehabt - die hat sich irgendwann verdoppelt in dem Menü - und ich dachte wenn ich die eine lösche bei laufender Maschine kann ja nix schief gehen... Erste VM erfolgreich gelöscht - VM 2 runterfahren... Wollte den RAM anpassen - kam Fehlermeldung Datei nicht vorhanden 🤦
