                                                              When people complain about the App Store revenue split Apple has in place, I am always surprised that nobody mentions SwiftData + CloudKit being a zero cost server infrastructure solution for every developer, even free apps.

                                                              Apple handles the sync logic and the data storage. You don’t have to manage a database, handle user account creation, or implement an E2EE environment.

                                                              I believe the company should lower their rate too, but this is just one example of the many benefits to building on Apple platforms.
