We had some close matches eventually it was time for the final duel, Me in Headbringer vs Graphite in Mad Stomp(Melee orientated build)
First round i was winning but decided to detach all my weapons and shoulder mounts going full melle(Only fists and kicks) mad stomp still has a heavy hitting chainsaw that can rip my AC apart.
The duel continued, i won the first round, After that every consecutive round i drop weapons at the start to keep it fun.
We had a 1 minute 30 second fight (2 minute time limit) in the very end Graphite manages to beat my AC.
Its 1 | 1 now
We exchange blows Graphite manages to hit me with the chainsaw once im low HP, I change my tactic become more aggressive Staggered graphite via ACS overload, this gave me an opportunity to get some good hits in after which Graphite became more aggressive, I managed to dodge the chainsaw once but after that the second got me
One of the most fun duels i have had in a while, Thank you kind stranger

A #query for all #Mastodon users that see this, either #Android or #Apple #iphone users:
Would you run an app that sits on your phone that acts as both host and client to your OWN personal single-user Mastodon instance?
Because I just had a stroke of inspiration - that must be the next logical step in the decentralization of the internet.
I'm running my own personal Mastoson instance from a crappy old #PC that I had laying around right now, and it's working great, only took me a couple days work to setup.
With just some pre-configuring of the software, I don't see why we can't just host them from our phones, whose hardware is already better than my crappy old #Linux box.
Imagine, your own URL or unique address where you host your own content that all of your friends and family can find and comment on.
Kind of like a group MMS, or email chain, but better.
I think THAT would be the true Facebook killer, what do you think?
If the software can be all "closed up", and re-coded to allow you to enter your own domain name (that you paid for previosuly), a desired username, password... that'd really be all that should be needed from the end user to setup the software.
I kinda want to see if I can make this happen. I'm surprised somebody smarter than me didn't already think of it.
Well, shit. Guess I picked a bad day to re-case my PC and upgrade the GP:U. Everything went well until I tried to update the OS, which failed while tossing a Mesa dependency error. Did some checking, and it seems to just be a Mesa issue I can't really do anything about ATM. So I'm stuck in 4K/basic graphics driver mode, with screen tearing a-plenty, till tomorrow? Hopefully? lol.
The new case looks nice at least.

Tech is getting weird again.
Memory prices soaring, knock on effects causing GPU prices to soar, and now — apparently unrelated — CPU prices set to rise too.
The ostensible rationale for the memory and GPU rises is AI datacentre demand, but I'm beginning to think these are supply chain disruptions caused by Trump's tariffs.
I guess we'll find out in due course, but I'm happy I very recently did all my upgrades.

GTW Highlight No.01: Last December, we recovered very early remains of Cult on the #PC. A third person zombie game due for release in 1997 by Argonaut Games that aimed to showcase the new Voodoo 1 3DFX card and BRender engine at the time.
I spent several hours today researching and comparing and testing different anti-aliasing modes in No Man's Sky with this new RTX 5080 GPU.
I have been using TAA for years in NMS and am quite familiar with DLSS, having read about it over the years. But, today I discovered DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) and that NMS supports it.
And it's just awesome!
“NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) is an AI-based anti-aliasing technology for NVIDIA RTX GPUs that improves image quality at a game's native resolution, prioritizing visual fidelity over performance. Unlike DLSS, which uses AI to upscale a lower-resolution image for better performance, DLAA renders the game at full resolution and uses AI to create smoother, sharper, and more stable visuals with fewer jagged edges and artifacts, such as shimmering. It is ideal for players with a powerful GPU who have extra performance headroom and want the best possible image quality”
