It looks like the first-ever #Klingon shown onscreen with a #Raktajino was Darvin, still posing as the human merchant Barry Waddle, who makes a beeline for the replicator in the opening of #StarTrekDS9 S5 E06, “Trials and Tribble-ations”.

At this point in the series, Worf has only been shown drinking prune juice and bloodwine.

Been thinking too much about #Raktajino and the whole idea of the various #Starfleet species that indulge in #Klingon #Coffee given what we know about Klingon anatomy versus Human, Trill, Bajoran, Ferengi, Cardassian, etc.

They really go on about the number of extra, redundant organs in Klingons, their metabolism, to say nothing of their existing baseline temperament. So, for Raktajino to have the equivalent stimulation on Klingons as coffee has on humans, wouldn’t it have to be as strong as pure liquid amphetamines?

And if so, how did anyone on DS9 remain so well-behaved, knocking that shit back every day?
